Cameron Barney advises G.Network on £60m funding from Cube

November 2018

Cameron Barney LLP is pleased to announce that it acted as financial adviser to G.Network Communications Ltd (“G.Network”) in obtaining an initial GBP60 million of additional funding from Cube Infrastructure Fund II.

G.Network is a fast-growing full fibre local access connectivity provider focused on London. It is building and operating new Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) infrastructure across the capital to provide affordable ultra-fast fibre connectivity to businesses and residents who are chronically under-served by the existing connectivity infrastructure.

We are delighted to have secured the support of Cube Infrastructure Fund II. It enables us to accelerate our rate of fibre deployment in the Capital. In organising this transaction we benefited substantially from the knowledge, experience and contacts of Cameron Barney.
— Sasho Veselinski, CEO, G.Network

This transaction underscores Cameron Barney’s commitment to funding the UK alternative network sector and its continued leadership in advising infra-tech companies on key strategic transactions. In addition to this advisory work Cameron Barney, with Infracapital, manages the Digital Infrastructure Investment Partnership (DIIP) which invests directly in fibre broadband infrastructure in the UK. A substantial investment has been allocated to this strategy by both the UK Government and the Infracapital Greenfield Fund.

We are very pleased to have advised G.Network on this transaction, which is the fourth fundraising arranged for the Company by Cameron Barney. We have now undertaken 23 fundraises for 7 clients in the internet infrastructure sector in recent years and are pleased to see additional investors entering this market.
