CableCom Group aquires Warwicknet Limited

Cameron Barney acted as exclusive financial adviser to Warwicknet.

December 2016

The CableCom group, which specialises in broadband, TV and utilities for the student and residential markets, has acquired business broadband service provider, WarwickNet for an undisclosed consideration. Cameron Barney LLP acted as the exclusive financial adviser to WarwickNet and its shareholders in the sale of the Company to CableCom.

Cameron Barney helped us review a range of options for financing the growth of the business and then led a highly professional and successful marketing process. They are very experienced advisers and, importantly for us, have a unique understanding of what is happening in our sector.
— Ben King, Chief Executive, WarwickNet

Mark Burchfield, Managing Director of CableCom, said: “This is a significant step for CableCom and really supports the added value elements that our services provide. Entering into this new market ensures opportunity for the CableCom group to accelerate WarwickNet’s business growth plans, giving the provider a wider support network to enhance its existing service offering.

CableCom’s acquisition of WarwickNet sees two very complementary companies coming together to roll out innovative broadband solutions to an ever growing market. We are continually developing, extending and building to ensure our customers get the highest possible quality of service and we cannot wait to continue to develop our offering with CableCom.
