Cameron Barney advises Clean Energy Cap Ltd on its successful consecutive funding round
December 2022
Cameron Barney LLP (‘Cameron Barney’) is pleased to announce that it acted as exclusive financial advisor to Clean Energy Cap Ltd (‘CEC’) on its successive funding round. This will empower CEC to build on its already prosperous first year of operations, enabling CEC to develop a further 500MWp of projects, over and above its original 250MW.
CEC is transforming the supply of energy to Large Power Users (‘LPUs’), by focusing on providing end-to-end renewable solutions from development, and construction, through to their future operation. Providing LPUs with cheap, secure, and sustainable clean energy.
With customer demand for CEC’s solution exceeding the early expectations of its founders, CEC is capitalising upon its first mover advantage, having successfully closed a second capital raise to maintain its extraordinary pace of growth. Over the past year, CEC has demonstrated an ability to secure high-profile contracted customers with substantial energy demands, establishing itself as a national leader in its field.
The proceeds of this round of funding will support the Company to advance its development activities on an additional 500MWp capacity of qualified projects delivering power to LPUs. This brings CEC’s total capability to develop renewable solutions to 750MWp capacity in the coming years.
CEC has a highly experienced and proven management team, with over 50 years of combined experience in renewables and enterprise sales. The team has held leadership and management positions at some of the largest renewable energy companies globally such as Statkraft, BP Lightsource, Amey plc, EY, Falck Renewables, SunEdison and Blue Energy.
